Silver Jewellery in just a day…
Learn how to design and create your own stunning and unique silver jewellery in an informal and relaxed environment using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC is the most inovative, inspiring and versatile silver medium you can work with. For the first time it is possible to design and create real silver jewellery without the need for expensive equipment or silversmithing skills.
During the workshop you will learn the basic techniques of handling, shaping, texturing, stone setting, firing and finishing your jewellery to a professional standard.
You will have plenty of time to experiment with the PMC in a small class of up to six students, which will ensure ample individual attention. You will go home with at least three pieces of your unique jewellery of commercial quality and ready to wear.

What is PMC?
Precious Metal Clay is made from fine particals of pure silver mixed with water and organic binders. It has the consistancy of traditional clay and can be moulded, rolled, stamped, textured and sculptured to create an endless number of shapes and jewellery designs. Once dry, the clay is fired and the binder burns off leaving a perfect design in .999% pure silver, which can be hallmarked.
The cost of the workshop is just £75 plus a cover charge of £20 for 9g of PMC or £34 for 16g of PMC (cost price) All other materials e.g. silver wire, paste, jump rings, earring fittings, cubic zircona stones, dichroic glass and pearls are included in the price, as is lunch and refreshments. The workshop runs from 10am-5pm in our well equipped bright and airy studio. Please call Alison on 07947002527 0114 2583067 or email us for dates of forthcoming workshops.
